The announcement for the Encampment Cadet Commander will follow this correspondence on March 4th via Email & Social Media.

While we are still navigating a few key items regarding this year's encampment, we are eager to get the cadets and senior staff in-person and actively learning once again through the Encampment Program!

Good Morning Cadets of TNWG,

We are working/planning to have a TNWG Summer Encampment. As we all witnessed last year our aspirations of having a Summer Encampment did not become a reality. With that being said we do not know what 2021 holds for us, however, we will plan as if we will have it!  As of right now, dates have not been set, hopefully, these will be coming soon.

This brings me to the purpose behind this email.
First, I want to introduce the 2021 TNWG Encampment Commander; 1st Lt. Austen Roberts.  Lt. Roberts has worked various roles at numerous encampments both as a TNWG Cadet Member & Senior Member.

Secondly, Lt. Roberts is opening the Cadet Executive Staff Selection Process today, 01/15/2021 this process ends 02/01/2021.
If you are interested in and feel that you have the skills and knowledge to serve one of the following Executive Staff Roles please apply:  (promptness will be considered)
Cadet Commander - CC
Cadet Deputy Commander - DC
Cadet Executive Officer - XO

How To Apply
Cadet Executive Staff Applications should provide the following:
1.  CAPF 60-81
2.  CAP Resume
3.  CAP Cover Letter
4.  CAP Recommendation Letters (minimum of 1)
5.  A 250-word essay (what makes me the leader to lead my fellow cadets)
6.  Previous Encampment's AAR (After Action Review) Summary (what was good, what was bad)

These 6 items should be emailed to (Encampment@tnwg.cap.gov) no later than midnight  02/01/2021.  No application will be accepted after the closing date unless an extension is requested in writing and approved for good cause by Lt. Roberts, TNWG Encampment Commander.
All correspondence should go to (Encampment@tnwg.cap.gov) to include questions concerning this application process.

I prayerfully look forward to the TNWG Cadet Programs office being able to host TNWG Encampment 2021!

(13 May 2020)  -  2020 Summer Encampment Cancellation

I regret to inform everyone that the latest directive we have received from the national commander requires that we cancel our planned 2020 TN Wing Summer Encampment scheduled for McGhee Tyson ANGB.

We are moving as quickly as the directives allow us to re-open units and even plan some overnight events when those are allowed.  However, encampments are a "high risk of transmission"  event and will not be allowed in time for us to accomplish one this summer (not until phase III of the reopening plan)

We are moving forward with plans to host a winter encampment in the state over Christmas break.

NOTE: national HQ has arranged for senior cadet NCOs to get an exemption and be allowed to get their Mitchell without an encampment, as long as they get one in before they reach Earhart.  (NOT "all cadets are exempted until next year", this applies only to senior NCOs who would be waiting a long time before encampments become available again.)

I am sorry we won't get a chance to work together this summer.  Encampment is always a huge developmental boost for the cadet program.  I appreciate the difficulty you have all had staying connected during this trying time.   I strongly encourage you to PREPARE ON YOUR OWN while we are apart. Study, practice your physical fitness, prepare your uniforms and work on testing.  Be ready for when we start meeting again.

Thank you all for your effort on behalf of the program.  America needs us not more than ever.

(01 April 2020)  -  TNWG Encampment 2020 Student Registration Now Open

TNWG Encampment Student Registration is now open, this is for all Cadets.  Cadet Student registration is open through TNWG Online registration only.

Please apply via the above link for Basic and ATS.  We have not decided on having the ATS as of yet, however, if you are interested please apply.

The biggest question facing us at this time, of course, is the COVID-19 situation.  Without dismissing the seriousness of the COVID-19 situation we are continuing to plan for the TNWG Encampment 2020.  We are already working with the selected staff in "Virtual" ways.  We currently have the billeting scheduled on McGhee Tyson ARNG Base in Alcoa, TN.  We will continue to plan and work towards an awesome encampment.  With that being said, I encourage you to register with the hopes and expectations that TNWG Encampment 2020 will happen.  If you have any questions or concerns reply to this email (do not reply all).

Seniors, we are still looking to fill a few Senior Member Staff positions.  If you are interested please register at the same link above.
